Prof. Tao Yufei, Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, has been elected Fellow of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) for the Class of 2020. The ACM Fellow Program initiated in 1993. It recognizes the top 1% of ACM members for their outstanding accomplishments in computing and information and/or outstanding service to ACM and the larger computing community. In 2020, 95 members have been elected as ACM fellows and Prof. Tao is the only one from Hong Kong. Prof. Tao is being recognized for his contributions to algorithms for large scale data processing.
